HONOLULU – Twenty-nine University of Hawai'i student-athletes earned places on the 2025-26 Big West Winter Academic All-Conference teams announced on Tuesday. The winter season includes men's and women's basketball and men's and women's swimming and diving.
Women's swimming and diving led the way with 12 honorees, followed by men's swimming and diving with eight. Women's basketball had five honorees and men's basketball had four representatives.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Conference team, student-athletes must maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, complete one full year at the member institution prior to the season for which the award is being received (at least a sophomore academically) and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests. In swimming & diving, a student-athlete must have competed in either 50 percent of the institution's events or participated in the Conference Championship.
The Big West recognizes individuals academically per season – fall, winter, and spring – for all conference-sponsored sports. The Fall Academic All-Conference Team honored student-athletes in cross country, soccer and women's volleyball. The Spring Academic All-Conference Team will consist of student-athletes from men's and women's golf, men's and women's track and field, women's water polo, men's and women's tennis, men's volleyball, beach volleyball, softball and baseball.
