Women's Basketball Picks Up Signee Jacque Davis for 2021

HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team and head coach Laura Beeman announced the signing of Jacqueline Stacey Vaisaasaa David to the 2021 roster on Wednesday afternoon.

David, a 5'10 power forward from Independence, Missouri, will enter the Rainbow Wahine program as a true freshman joining signees Asha Andrews, Eva Ongoongotau, and Trinity Slocum as the other high school seniors to be a part of the incoming class. A graduate of William Chrisman High School, David helped lead the Bears to an undefeated 8-0 Suburban White Conference record, while claiming a District 14 Championship as a senior.

Along with her skills on the hardwood, she's a multi-sport athlete competing for all four years of her high school career on the track and field team. Her diversity and athletic ability led to her being named to the Class 5 All-State Team.

Beeman on David:
Jacque David is going to be a name Hawai'i becomes familiar with over time. Versatility, versatility, and more versatility. This young lady can move. She has tremendous footwork, can attack off the dribble, and shoots the three. She is another fabulous piece to our already talented freshman class.
