Soccer Named to National Academic Award List for 10th Straight Year

HONOLULU- For the 10th consecutive year, the University of Hawai'i soccer program was named to the United Soccer Coaches list of institutions receiving the honor of being named to the College Women's Team Academic Award list.

The Rainbow Wahine have made the list every year since Michele Nagamine was named head coach in 2011, accumulating a 3.0 or higher GPA. Before Nagamine, UH received the honor only one other time, in 2003.

Even though the Bows had their 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19, Nagamine, associate head coach Marc Fournier, and assistant coach Sonia Basma have kept the student-athletes on track. Throughout the fall, the team participated in approved practices and workouts while continuing the program's reputation of being one of the best in the classroom.
