FULLERTON, Calif.--The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team (14-6, 11-1 Big West) embarks on their fifth road trip of the year as they head back to California to take on Cal State Fullerton (9-10, 6-6  BWC) and Long Beach State (9-14, 3-9 BWC). The Rainbow Wahine will face the Titans on Friday, Nov. 5 followed by Long Beach State on Saturday, Nov. 6. First serve for both matches is slated for 4:00 p.m. HT.
 
 HEAD COACH ROBYN AH MOW
	- Head coach Robyn Ah Mow is in her fourth season at Hawai'i and has a 78-27 overall record and a 53-7 mark in the BWC
 
SERIES VS. CAL STATE FULLERTON
	- Hawai'i holds a 43-0 record over the Titans. On Oct. 3, UH held off Cal St. Fullerton in five sets, 25-13, 25-20, 25-27, 13-25, 15-10. 
 
SERIES VS. LONG BEACH STATE
	- Hawai'i holds a 38-18-1 record against the Beach. Hawai'i swept the Beach in Honolulu on Oct. 1, 26-24, 25-16, 25-21. UH has won the last eight consecutive matches against LBSU. The Beach's last win over Hawai'i came on Oct. 8, 2016 at the Walter Pyramid in five sets. 
 
	- The only tie in Rainbow Wahine history came against the Beach at the UCLA/NIVT Tournament in Los Angeles, Calif on Nov. 4, 1978.
 
LAST TIME OUT...
	- Hawai'i swept both UC Davis (25-19, 25-7, 25-22) and UC Riverside (25-19, 25-23, 25-16) at home in front of fans for the first time in 691 days. 
 
	- Senior Brooke Van Sickle led UH over the weekend with a combined 26 kills and nine service aces. Against UCD, she had match-highs of 12K and five aces--a career-high at UH. The following night vs. UCR, she put down a match-high 14 kills with four aces. In both matches, she finished one dig shy of a double-double. 
 
	- Freshman setter Kate Lang logged a pair of double-doubles last week. Against UCD, she had a match-high 35 assists and 16 digs, while vs. UCR she had 37 assists with 10 digs. Since falling at UCSB two weeks ago, UH with Lang at the controls, has hit over .300 in the last three matches. 
 
NEWS & NOTES
	- This past weekend, UH hosted fans in the stands for women's volleyball for the first time since 2019 in the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. Even though there were only a few spectators in attendance, their energy was palpable and helped propel UH two sweeps over both UC Davis and UC Riverside. Under COVID protocols, only 500 tickets were available. 
 
	- On Oct. 28, it was announced by the City and County of Honolulu, that COVID crowd restrictions would be lifted on Nov. 3. The next Rainbow Wahine volleyball home match will be in front of a full capacity crowd. This week's basketball games and football game will be open to full capacity.
 
	- Hawai'i is tied atop the Big West standings with UC Santa Barbara with an 11-1 conference record. Currently, both the 'Bows and the Gauchos are three wins ahead of the next team, Cal Poly.
 
	- As a team, Hawai'i leads the Big West in blocks/set (2.48) and opposing hitting percentage (.189). The Rainbow Wahine are also ranked second in the league with 13.10 assists/set; 16.24 digs/set; 13.99 kills/set; and 37.23 attacks/set
 
	- Brooke Van Sickle leads the conference in points/set with 4.65. She is also ranked second in kills/set (3.93) and third in both aces/set (0.38) and attacks/set (10.10).
 
	- Sophomore middle blockers Amber Igiede has been a force at the net for the Manoa Roofing Company. Igiede is ranked No. 3 in the Big West with 1.19 blocks/set; No. 5 with a .357 hitting percentage; and No. 6 in total blocks (83)
 
	- Continuing to make an impact in the back row is freshman libero Tayli Ikenaga. Her streak of double-digit dig matches was snapped this past week at seven, but she has 13 double-digit dig matches under her belt and she leads UH with 231 total digs. Ikenaga is the first freshman since Elizabeth Ka'aihue lead the team in digs as a freshman (Ka'aihue led UH all four years in Manoa).
 
	- Since taking over the controls of the UH offense, freshman setter Kate Lang has recorded seven double-doubles—including the last three straight—in her 12 starts. She is ranked No. 2 in the BWC averaging 10.20 assists/set.
 
	- Amber Igiede and Tayli Ikenaga are the only UH players to have play in all 70 sets this year.
 
	- Nationally, Hawai'i moved up to No. 11 in assists/set (13.10) and No. 16 in kills/set (13.99. UH is also ranked No. 34 in attacks/set (37.23); No. 53 in digs/set (16.24); and No. 49 in blocks/set (2.48)
