KAILUA-KONA, Hawai'i – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team put the finishes touches on its fall schedule with a 12
th place showing at the Pac-12 Preview after Wednesday's third and final round at the Nanea Golf Club.
The Rainbow Wahine shot 309 for a 937 total in their annual trip to Hawai'i Island for the tournament that features all 11 of the Pac-12 women's teams.
Top-ranked Stanford captured the team title while USC's Katherine Muzi took medalist honors at 9-under 210 with a birdie on her final hole.
UH's top individual was junior
Hana Mirnik, who carded a final round 76 for a 231 total and tie for 38
th place. Freshman
Monica Johnson finished on stroke behind Mirnik with a 232 total and tie for 44
th.
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were
Hyeonji Kang (236; t-49
th),
Ting-Yu Liu (239; 55
th), and
Momo Sugiyama (240; 56
th).
The tournament was the fifth event of the fall season for the Rainbow Wahine who will next compete at The Gold Rush, Feb. 28-March 1 in Seal Beach, Calif. This fall, UH captured two team titles including the full-field Coeur d'Alene Resort Invitational in September.
