In doubles, UH's duo of Léa Romain and Heynemans defeated Stanford's Sara Choy and Nikula Madurawe by a break, 6-4. Hawai'i's pair of
Nidhi Surapaneni and
Satsuki Takamura was edged out by Stanford's Angelica Blake and Connie Ma, 7-5.
Heynemans recorded UH's only win in singles. She bounced back after dropping the first set before holding off Sara Choy in the final two sets, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4. UH's
Tal Talya Zandberg gave everything she had, but fell in two close sets to the Cardinal's 87
th-ranked Blake, 7-5, 7-6 (4).
