HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team wrapped up its five-day Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Saturday morning. Hawai'i competed against cross-town rival Hawai'i Pacific in the tournament. The Rainbow Wahine were dominant on the final three days of the invitational.

The Rainbow Wahine continued their strong play as they swept the doubles matches while winning five of six singles matches.
In doubles, Hawai'i's duo of Romain and Heynemans triumphed over the Sharks' Ruszczynska and Miyahara, 6-2 while UH's Zandberg and Kim defeated Tilgner and Mokrova, 6-2. Hawai'i newcomers

Satsuki Takamura won in straight sets over Mokrova, 6-3, 6-1 followed by Williams doubling up on Murakami, 6-3, 6-3. Surapaneni edged Ruszczynska, 6-3, 6-4 and UH's Kern came back after dropping the first set to overpower HPU's Kjaer, 1-6, 6-0, 6-1. Hawai'i's Zandberg and HPU's Miyahara played only one set with Zandberg winning, 6-3.

Hawaii finished the five-day event by winning two of three doubles matches and splitting the singles matches.
In doubles, UH's duo of Takamura and Surapaneni shutout HPU's Miyahara and Busson, 6-0, while UH's Kern and Heynemans outlasted Ruszczynska and Valentina, 7-5.
The four winning Rainbow Wahine were Romain, Zandberg, Kim, and Raier. Romain fought back after dropping the first set, to defeat HPU's Ruszczynska, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. Zandberg, Kim and Raler all won in straight sets. Zandberg held off Mokrova in the first set and then cruised to win, 7-5, 6-2. Kim blew by Kjaer, 6-0, 6-3 and Raler nearly blanked Murakami, 6-0, 6-1.
Next up, the Rainbow Wahine will take on PAC-12 power Stanford on Sunday, Nov. 21 – Monday, Nov. 22 on the Big Island.
