KAILUA-KONA, Hawai'i – University of Hawai'i freshman
Monica Johnson carded an even par 73 in the opening round of the Pac-12 Preview Monday at the Nanea Golf Club.
The Sydney, Australia native posted four birdies and four bogeys and currently sits in a tie for 11
th place. Johnson is five strokes off the lead held by USC's Katherine Muzi, who shot 5-under 68 and leads Oregon State's Danique Stokmans by one stroke.
Top-ranked Stanford shot 4-under 288 and is atop the team leaderboard followed by 22
nd-ranked USC (290), 45
th-ranked Washington (291), and fifth-ranked Oregon (292). The Rainbow Wahine are tied for 11
th place with 37
th-ranked California at 306.
Hana Mirnik carded a 3-over 76 and is tied for 36
th. Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine are
Hyeonji Kang (77; t-38

Momo Sugiyama (80; t-54
th), and
Ting-Yu Liu (80; t-54
th).
Round 2 continues on Tuesday. The Pac-12 Preview is UH's final competition of the fall season. The tournament features all 11 of the Pac-12 women's teams of which nine are ranked nationally in the Top 50.
