TULSA, Okla.—University of Hawai'i men's tennis player
Andre Ilagan continues to make history at the prestigious ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. Ilagan is the first Rainbow Warrior in the history of the 24-year tournament to advance to the Round of 16.
Ilagan, who won his three qualifying matches to gain entrance into the main draw, dispatched Texas Christian University's (TCU) 18th-ranked Juan Carlos Aguilar in straight sets, cruising to a 6-2, 6-2 win to make the Sweet 16. It is the highest ranked player that Ilagan had defeated in his career.
Ilagan's next opponent in Ohio State's No. 65 Connor Kingsley who battle back after dropping his first set to win in three over Tulsa's Kody Pearson.
