HONOLULU - After a successful run at the Chaminade Invite, the University of Hawai'i cross country team will now travel to the mainland to participate in the Bronco Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 16 in Sunnyvale, Calif.
"We always look forward to racing this fast 6k course in Sunnyvale as a final tune up for the Big West Championships in two weeks" said UH head coach Tim Boyce. "Valuable experience will be gained in this typically very competitive meet".
The travel squad includes freshmen Sam North, Audrey O'Malley, Becca Bodine, and Sacia Ashe, sophomores Terra Stevens and Sophia Lodigiani, and juniors Sophia Morgan and Ellis Collins.
The Rainbow Wahine last participated in the Bronco Invite in 2019, where they placed 23rd overall with an average time of 22:36.52. Former Wahine Shannon McClish was UH's top finisher then, with a time of 21:53.5, while Lodigiani placed 158th with a time of 22:54.7.
Hosted by Santa Clara, the Bronco Invite will be the last regular season meet before the 'Bows head to Davis, Calif., for the Big West Championships on Oct. 29.
