VALENCIA, Calif. – University of Hawai'i freshman
Pierce Braun carded a final round 3-under 69 at the Bill Cullum Invitational Tuesday at The Oaks Club at Valencia.
Braun's only blemish was a double-bogey at the par-4 No. 18 – his seventh hole of the day – in an otherwise remarkable day that included five birdies. The freshman from Phoenix, Ariz., finished in a tie for 47
th place with a 233 total.
As a team, the Rainbow Warriors finished in 11
th place at 940. Host CSUN won the team title by 12 strokes with an 876 total. Utah Valley. UC Santa Barbara's Brian Arnold, competing as an individual, captured medalist honors at 3-under 213 and was the only golfer among the 79-man field to finish under par.

The Warriors will return to the 50
th state to host a pair of tournaments – the Hoakalei County Club Invitational, Oct 25-26 in 'Ewa Beach, O'ahu and the Kā'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational, Oct. 29-31 in Kā'anapali, Maui.
