Game Story Lines

• UH and CSU Bakersfield meet for the first-time ever as Big West rivals in a two-game series in Honolulu this weekend.
• The team's only other meeting was a 72-65 UH win in the 2014 Rainbow Classic.
• This will mark UH's first Big West home games of the year for the Rainbow Warriors, who had its series vs. Cal Poly (Dec. 27-28) canceled due to COVID-related issues within the Mustang program.
• UH is 7-1 all-time in its first Big West home game of the year and 25-15 under Eran Ganot in Big West regular-season home games.    
• CSUB has played the most games (11) of any Big West team. UH and UC Davis have played the least (4).
• UH is coming off a road split at UC Riverside (W- 88-83; L - 68-70) in its opening weekend of Big West action.  
• Four players average double-digits for UH, led by James Jean-Marie at 15.8 ppg.
• After CSUB, UH will play a pair of road cames at Cal State Fullerton on Jan. 22 and 23.
