HONOLULU— The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team added to its 2020-2021 roster by announcing the signing of 6'4 center Channel Noah on Wednesday afternoon.
Noah spent the last two seasons with South Plains College, serving as a key player off the bench for the highly touted junior college program. She played in 33 games and started in four for the Lady Texan program in her two seasons.
"She is an athletic, long, and experienced post player," said head coach
Laura Beeman. "She'll impact our roster by providing depth and size."
Before pursuing her collegiate basketball career at South Plains, Noah spent her childhood in France after relocating from Africa, where she was born.
The signing of Noah extends the incoming class to eight, with five true freshmen (Kelsie Imai, Nnenna Orji, Daejah Phillips, MeiLani McBee, and Teionni McDaniel) and three JUCO transfers (Alicja Falkowska, Daryna Bachkarova, and Noah).
