Honolulu—The University of Hawai'i diving team wrapped up an eventful first day of the Wally Nakamoto Diving Invite, claiming a first-place finish in the women's three-meter.

Junior
Victoria Moretti tallied a score of 295.15 in the event to come away as the top finisher on the day for the Rainbow Wahine. The second and third place position was occupied by Wisconsin, while fellow junior
Ivy Davis finished at fourth overall with a score of 238.35. Moretti's score not only gave her a first-place finish, but it was also a qualifying score for the NCAA Zone Meet, giving her a chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships in March.

On the men's side, sophomore
Max Burman place second in the men's one-meter with a final score of 313.50, also giving him a qualifying score for the NCAA Zone Meet. Senior
Lucas Cooperman narrowly missed the top three standings with a score of 294.50.

UH will be at it again tomorrow for the second day of events with the men diving in the three-meter, while the women will compete in the one-meter. Swimming will also be in action as the women will have a tri-meet with Wisconsin and Drury University, with the men taking on Drury.
