The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team faces UC Santa Barbara in a showdown of upper echelon teams in the Big West on Saturday, Jan. 18. The game will be part of the doubleheader with the Rainbow Wahine with the men's tipoff set for 8:00 p.m. and the women slated to start at 5:30 p.m.

Game Story Lines
- UH is coming off a 65-61 win over Cal Poly on Thursday in its first Big West home game of the year.
- It was the second time in its first three Big West games that UH led from wire-to-wire.  Â
- Senior guard Eddie Stansberry scored a team-high 17 points against the Mustangs and continues to lead the team at 17.0 ppg.Â
- In the last two seasons, UH is 14-3 when Stansberry leads the team in scoring.Â
- UCSB has won the last three meetings between the teams and four of the last five. The Gauchos win margin was 19.5 points in last year's sweep of the 'Bows.
- UH is 10-3 at home so far this year while UCSB is 5-3 so far on the road. The five road wins are the most by a Big West team this year.
- UH is 10-1 when leading at half this year.
- Following its game vs Cal Poly, UH will host UC Davis on Saturday, Jan. 25. It will be a special evening as UH celebrates its 100th season that night.
