HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i football team will host the Warrior Spring Game Saturday, April 27 at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex. Fans have the chance to get their first glimpse of the 2019 Rainbow Warriors, while also enjoying a circus-themed afternoon complete with jugglers, acrobats, food, games, and prizes. Admission is FREE.
Gates open at 4:00 p.m., with food trucks, refreshment booths, and keiki games and activities. Fans will have the opportunity to mingle with the football players from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The team will be introduced at 5:30 p.m., followed by a four-quarter game. Offensive coordinator
Brian Smith will lead Team Mauka (first-team offense, second-team defense) and defensive coordinator
Corey Batoon will lead Team Makai (first-team defense, second-team offense). Former Warrior offensive lineman and current Spectrum Sports commentator
RJ Hollis will serve as emcee of the event.
At the end of the day, fans have another opportunity to meet the team as players and coaches will be available for autographs and photos on the field. Prizes will be given out throughout the event and merchandise will also be available at the H-Zone tent. Fans can also bring their own items to sign.
In addition, a lucky fan will get a chance to win a three-night stay at the California Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The main entrance to the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex will be near the 'Ewa side end zone and fans may sit on the mauka or makai bleachers.
