DAVIS, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team wrapped up the regular season with a sweep at UC Davis, 7-0 on Sunday afternoon. It marked the Rainbow Wahine's fifth-straight win—including the last four against Big West Conference foes. Hawai'i finished the regular season with an 8-9 overall record and a 6-2 conference record. The Aggies finished the regular season with a 9-13 overall record and a 3-5 Big West record.
 
The Rainbow Wahine captured the doubles point to start the match. UH's No. 3 duo of Maayan Sela and Alzbeta Houbova defeated UCD's Jessica Walker and Kristina Breisacher, 6-2 to start the day. The Aggies' No. 2 evened the doubles competition to 1-1 with Shirly Hall and Nikita Pradeep knocking off UH's Michelle Pits and Roxanne Resma, 6-3. UH's No. 1 team of Petra Melounova and Nikola Dolakova then clinched the point with a 6-4 victory over Kelsie Bryant and Sara Tsukamoto.
 
Hawai'i rolled in singles. No. 1 and 60th-ranked Melounova quickly dispatched Pradeep, 6-1, 6-1. Melounova has won12 of her last 13 singles matches—including her last four-straight.
 
Pits followed with her fourth-straight win in a dominant straight-set effort, defeating Breisacher, 6-2, 6-2. UH's No. 2, Sela then clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Tsukamoto.
 
On the No. 5 court, Resma edged out Jessica Walker for her fourth-straight singles win as well. Resma won in a second set tiebreaker, 6-2, 7-6(3), while UH's Houbova edged out Kelsie Bryant on the No. 6 court in a third set super-tiebreaker, 7-5, 5-7, 1-0 (8) for a hard fought win. Dolakova sealed UH's first sweep of the season with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 win over Hall at No. 3.
 
Hawai'i will head on their annual trek to Indian Wells, Calif. for the 2019 Big West Tournament which runs from Thursday, April 25 – Sunday April 28.
