LOS ANGELES – On day two in southern California, the University of Hawaiʻi women's track and field team put up a number of strong performances at the Mt. SAC Relays, Bryan Clay Invitational and Beach Invitational.
In Mt. SAC Relays action,
Kristen LaCosse took sixth in the 400m hurdles in 1:00.51. Also in the hurdles,
Calli-Ann Abbott ran a personal record time of 14.16 in the 100m hurdles.
Raion Black clocked in 11.98 in the 100m, one of the best times in her career. Black went on to run a 200m time of 24.70, with
Martina Latting securing a 100m time of 12.26.
At the Bryan Clay Invitational,
Danielle Girard ran an 800m time of 2:19.17 on the day, while
Jessica Cushing-murray ended the day with a 1500m time of 4:45.63.
A trio of Rainbow Wahine ran the best 1500m times of their UH careers at the Beach Invitational.
Olivia Hill turned in a 4:56.77 followed by
Hope Stewart in 5:02.85.
Giovanna Casazza crossed the finish line in 5:08.86.
Hawaiʻi will wrap up its California trip on Saturday, April 20 with the final day of competition.
