SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team finished the 73
rdWestern Intercollegiate with its best round during the three-day tournament with a 364 Wednesday at the Pasatiempo Golf Club.
The Rainbow Warriors completed the tournament with an 1118 total, improving their score in Rounds 2 and 3. Sophomore
Justin Ngan shot a final round 1-under 69, which included a back nine 4-under 31. The Wailuku, Maui native finished in a tie for 58
thplace with a 221 total (79-73-69) along with senior
Cameron Kaneko (76-73-72), who shot 2-over 72 on Wednesday.
No. 16 Stanford rallied to win the team title with a 1040 total after a final round 10-under 340. No. 11 California (1046) was runner-up followed by second round leader San Jose State (1051). Individually, Stanford's Isaiah Salinda won a playoff with a birdie on the fifth extra hole over San Jose State's Sean Yu. Both finished at 8-under 202 for the tournament.

The tournament was the final tune-up for the Big West Championship which UH will host at the Wailua Golf Course, April 29-30.
