The University of Hawai'i men's golf team returns to the Oregon Duck Invitational where they last competed two decades ago. This year's event runs Monday, March 25 and Tuesday, March 26 at the Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell, Ore.
Hawai'i made appearances in the Duck Invitational from 1999-2002 with its best finish was in 2001 when they tied for ninth place. UH is among a 16-team field this year that includes Boise State, Denver, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, Oral Roberts, Oregon, Oregon State, Pacific, San Diego State, San Francisco, San Jose State, Seattle, Washington State, Wyoming
Participants will play 54 holes, 36 on Monday and 18 on Tuesday at the 7,165-yard, par-72 course. Shotgun start is 8:15 a.m. PT both days.
The Warriors are coming off a tie for 13
thplace at the Grand Canyon Invitational last week. Junior
Trevor Hirata posted his best finish of his career with a 2-over 215 total.
