PHOENIX, Ariz. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team finished in a tie for 13
thplace at the Grand Canyon University Invitational following Saturday's final round at the GCU Golf Course.
The Rainbow Warriors (296-283-294) shot 10-over on Saturday to finish with a 873 total along with Omaha. Missouri-Kansas City ran away with the team title with a 829 total, 14 strokes clear of runner-up UT-Rio Grande Valley.
Junior
Trevor Hirata (72-70-73=215) carded a final round 73 for a career-best 2-over 215 total and a tie for 35
thplace. The finish was Hirata's best in three seasons as a Rainbow Warrior.
Senior
Cameron Kaneko (75-71-72=218) recorded the best score of the day for Hawai'i with a 1-over 72. The Huntington Beach, Calif., native totaled 218 and tied for 54
thplace. Sophomore
Justin Ngan (73-71-76=220) was two strokes back at 220 and a tie for 66
thafter a final round 76.
UMKC's McCain Schellhardt and Columbia's Derek Kim shared medalist honors at 8-under 205 after each posted 3-under 68.

Bryden Salvador (76-71-78=225/t-88
th) and sophomore
Justin Arcano (79-79-73=231/t-103
rd).
UH will next compete in the Duck Invitational, March 25-26 in Eugene, Ore.
