KĀNE'OHE, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team (310-302) is in a tie for eighth place after the first two rounds of the 34
thDr. Donnis Thompson Invitational Tuesday at the Kāne'ohe Klipper Golf Course on Marines Corps Base Hawai'i.
Second-ranked Texas holds the team lead at 588, five strokes ahead of SMU. Texas A&M (595) is in third followed by Washington State (601) and North Texas (605). TAMU's Courtney Dow has the individual lead at 2-under 142 after rounds of 68 and 74 while teammate Amber Park is two strokes back at even par 144.
UH's top individual is senior
Kaci Masuda, who carded rounds of 77 and 73 and is tied for 14
that 6-over 150. Junior
Megan Ratcliffe is 8-over (78-74) and tied for 19
thalong with freshman
Haruka Shintani (80-72), who is competing as an individual. After a 4-over front nine in her second round, Shintani posted four birdies and five pars to close at even par.
Also competing for the team score are freshman
Nicha Vorrasanpisut, who is 9-over (77-76) and in a tie for 27
thplace; sophomore
Tyra Tonkham, who shot 78-79 for a 157 total and a tie for 48
thplace; and sophomore
Malia Ebersberger who is in a tie for 53

Competed in her first tournament as a Rainbow Wahine, sophomore Rachel Fujitani posted rounds of 79 and 82 for a 161 total and tie for 61
st. Sophomores
Sahara Washington and
Emma Lower both did not compete due to injury or illness.
The third and final round is scheduled for Wednesday at 8:00 a.m.
