HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team made it look easy once again in another straight-set win over No. 8 Stanford, on Super Bowl Sunday at the Stan Sheriff Center. Set scores for the finale of a two-match non-conference series were 25-15, 25-18, 25-16.
 
The Rainbow Warriors improved to 5-0 on the season and have not dropped a set all season. UH extended its win streak over the Cardinal in Honolulu to seven straight dating back to 2013 which includes a 25-15, 27-25, 25-22 victory on Friday.
 
Outside hitter Stijn van Tilburg had a team-high 12 kills while opposite Rado Parapunov added 10 kills and a career-high tying four aces. Setter Joe Worsley dished out 34 assists and added a career-high six kills. He directed the UH offense, which leads the nation in hitting percentage, to a .544 clip. 

Jaylen Jasper had a team-high 13 kills for the Cardinal (7-3).
 
Behind Parapunov's serving, the Warriors tallied nine aces in the match, which included a pair each by Dalton Solbrig and Colton Cowell. Solbrig's two aces occurred during a 5-0 run put UH on top 13-7 in Set 1. Parapunov added an ace, which followed back-to-back thunderous kills by Cowell and Worsley that gave the Warriors an insurmountable lead. Hawai'i hit .619 in the frame as four players had at least three kills.
 
The score was tied nine times through the first half of Set 2 until the Warriors reeled off three straight points for a 20-17 lead. Consecutive Parapunov aces gave UH a 23-18 lead and the Warriors would score eight of the final nine points to take two sets to none lead.
 
UH doubled-up the Cardinal, 8-4, to start Set 3. The Warriors put the score out of reach with a pair of Cowell aces during a 5-0 run for a 21-14 lead. 
 
Hawai'i will next travel to the East Coast for a two-match series against Queens and a single-match against Saint Francis.
