HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team will kickoff their 2019 Spring event schedule on March 16 on the Big Island; return to O'ahu for their Spring match against Texas at the Stan Sheriff Center on March 22; and travel to Pepperdine for a four-team tournament on March 30.
The Rainbow Wahine will hold two practices,an intra-squad scrimmage and a pair of youth clinics at the University of Hawai'i at Hilo Gymnasium over a span of two days (March 16-17).
Hawai'i will then return to Honolulu to take on the Texas Longhorns on March 22, in their Spring match at the SSC. Tickets will go on sale March 11 at 9 a.m. online or at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office.
Hawai'i will finish their spring schedule competing in a four-team tourney on the road against Pepperdine, USC and Point Loma, on March 30 at Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu, Calif. Format will be announced later. Tournament is hosted by Pepperdine.
Big Island Information
The first open practice in Hilo will start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. UH's two youth clinics will be instructed by the UH coaches and players and are open to keiki grades 4-12. Pre-registration for both clinics is required. The clinics will be limited to the first 100 participants. Following the clinics, the Rainbow Wahine will hold a one-hour practice starting at 4 p.m. and begin their intra-squad scrimmage at 5 p.m. All events in Hilo are free. Autograph sessions will be held following both Saturday's practice and Sunday's intra-squad scrimmage. (See below for more information).
