MORAGA, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team heads to California for a three-match road trip starting at St. Mary's (CA) on Saturday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. HT. The Rainbow Wahine will then head south to take on USC on Sunday, March 3 at 12:00 pm HT. The 'Bows will conclude their roadtrip with a Big West Conference match at Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday, March 5 at 11:30 a.m. HT.
Hawai'i's
Petra Melounova leads the way for the 'Bows. In singles, the junior enters this week with a 4-3 overall singles record while going 4-1 in dual matches. Melounova has won four-straight singles matches as UH's No. 1 player. UH's No. 2
Maayan Sela has recorded the most wins. Sela is currently 6-6 overall and is 4-2 in dual matches at No. 2. Two other Rainbow Wahine have also notched four singles wins apiece—
Nikola Dolakova is 4-7 overall and 3-3 at No. 3 in duals, while
Michelle Pits is 4-5 overall and 3-3 at No. 4.
In doubles, two UH duos have already recorded six wins. UH's No. 3 team of
Alzbeta Houbova and Pits leads the Rainbow Wahine with a 6-4 overall record and a 4-1 dual match mark, while Dolakova and Sela has gone 6-5 overall and 3-2 in duals on the No. 2 court.
