KAILUA-KONA, Hawai'i – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team completed the Nanea Pac-12 Preview with its best round of the tournament Wednesday at the Nanea Golf Club.
The Rainbow Wahine carded a 313 to finish with a 946 total and 12
th place. Eighth-ranked Arizona captured the team title at 857, two strokes over runner-up No. 22 UCLA (859).
Junior
Tyra Tonkham carded a final round 77 to finish in 48
th place at 233. One stroke back was senior
Megan Ratcliffe, who shot the best round of the tournament for the Rainbow Wahine, with a 1-over 74 to finish in a tie for 49
th place at 234.
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were junior
Sahara Washington (82=237, 53
rd), sophomore
Haruka Shintani (80=242, 59
th), and senior
Malia Ebersberger (87=258, 60
th).
Washington's Rino Sasaki captured medalist honors with her third straight round of 70 for a 9-under 210 total. UCLA's Ty Akabane and Mariel Galdiano were two strokes back at 7-under 212.
The Pac-12 Preview closes out the fall season for the Rainbow Wahine. The spring season begins with the Battle at the Rock in Riverside, Calif., Feb. 10-11, 2020.
