HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i swimming and diving program officially brought in the 2019-20 season with the Green vs. White Intrasquad on Friday afternoon at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Center Complex.
 
Each side featured a split of student-athletes competing in over 25 events, including an intermission where the divers showcased their returning roster. Most notably, All-Americans Phobe Hines and Kane Follows were in action in numerous events. Fans saw stellar competition throughout the event, where returners and newcomers challenged each other from beginning to end.
 
UH returns large and proven rosters from a historic season a year ago. Both the men's and women's are reigning MPSF champions and will look to repeat under first-year head coach Elliot Ptasnik.
 
Friday was just a warmup as the season schedule will begin on Friday, Oct. 25, in a tri-team meet in Tucson, Arizona featuring the University of Arizona and the University of Denver.
