Senior setter/outside hitter Norene Iosia recorded her seventh-straight double-double with 17 assists and a season- and match-high 19 digs. She also added three kills and a service ace. Iosia moved up in both the UH career record books for both service aces and digs. Against the Highlanders, the 'Bows out-hit and out-blocked UCR, .242-to-.022 and 10.0-to-6.5 respectively. It was the 13th time this season that the 'Bows have out-blocked their opponents. UH came up with 40 digs, to UCR's 28 and had five service aces as the Highlanders had none.

Celebrating the Stan Sheriff Center
The Rainbow Wahine volleyball team officially opened the arena on October 20, 1994 in a four-set victory over San Jose State. Current head coach Robyn Ah Mow and associate head coach Angelica Ljungqvist were both sophomores on the team that played that opening match in what was then called the Special Events Arena.

Since its opening in 1994, the four teams that call the SSC home—men's and women's volleyball and men's and women's basketball—have enjoyed tremendous success on the court while Hawai'i fans have come out to support the home team. A total of 8,790,228 fans have come through the gates to watch 1,792 Rainbow Wahine and Rainbow Warrior home games—that's not including all the non-UH games the SSC has hosted for the many tournaments UH also hosts every season. Combined the four teams have a 1,310-482 (.731) record at home.

The Stan Sheriff Center has also hosted a myriad of other events during the past 25 years, including the 1998 Miss Universe Pageant, musical concerts, pre-season camps for the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers, talks by the Dalai Lama in 2012, several NCAA Championship games, the Pacific Alliance Championsips (gymnastics), and the list goes on and on.
