Game Notes
- UH opens Big West Conference play at home against Cal State Fullerton, last year's Big West Tournament winner and the league's representative in the NCAA Tournament.
- UH enters its seventh season in the Big West and has won one title (2015-16).
- The preseason poll has UH at 6th, exactly where they placed last year. The Rainbow Warriors went 8-8 last year and split the season series with each of its league opponents.
- UH has never finished with a losing record in the Big West regular-season.
- UH is 2-4 in Big West openers (one win vacated) and 5-1 in its first Big West home game of the year. UH will play CSF in a conference opener for the second-time (also 2016, lost on road).
- UH is coming of a 10-day layoff. UH closed its non-conference slate with a 71-63 win over Alabama A&M on Dec. 29. This will be the final of seven straight home games for UH.
- UH has won three straight games and enters league play with a winning record for the 10th time in the last 11 seasons.
