NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (9-6, 5-2 Big West) will play its final match of the regular season at CSUN (7-9, 3-3 Big West) on Sunday, April 22 at the Matador Tennis Complex in Northridge, Calif.
Going into the last week of the regular season, the Rainbow Wahine are in a three-way tie for third place with a 5-2 conference record. UC Davis leads the league with a 6-2 record and UC Santa Barbara is in second place with a 5-1 BWC record. The After the 'Bows' match at CSUN, UH will stay on the road to compete in the Big West tournament which will be held from April 26-29 in Indian Wells, Calif.
Leading the Rainbow Wahine is 72
nd-ranked
Petra Melounova. UH's No. 1 singles player comes into the final week on a four-match win streak with a 12-3 overall record and a 5-1 record in conference. Melounova is one of four UH players who have recorded double digits in wins in singles.
Michelle Pits has played primarily on the No. 5 court, and she has a 12-7 record.
Roxanne Resma has played the bulk of her matches at No. 6 and has a 12-10 record while
Klara Pribylova has played most of her dual matches at No. 4 and has a 10-13 record thus far this year.
In doubles, UH's No. 2 duo of Melounova and Resma lead the Rainbow Wahine with a 12-4 overall record and are a perfect 6-0 in conference matches. UH's No. 1 duo of
Nikola Dolakova and Pribylova also are in double-digits in wins with a 10-9 overall record with a 3-1 mark in the Big West.
