Box Score IRVINE, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (2-15. 1-3 Big West) fought hard against UC Irvine (14-10, 1-2 Big West), but the individual efforts did not show up in the final score, with UH falling to the Anteaters, 7-0.
 
UCI swept the Rainbow Warriors in doubles, edging out UH for the match's first point. Irvine's Luca Marquard and Mason Hansen held off Lucas Labrunie and Chia-Hua Lu by a break, 6-4 at No. 2. On the No. 3 court, Hawai'i's Tristan Martins and Fabian Woehrl lost by the same score, 6-4, to Daniel Gealer and Luis Lopez.
 
In singles, Martins fell in straight sets to UCI's Hansen at No. 5, 6-2, 6-3. The Anteaters kept things rolling with Vatsal Bajpai defeating UH's Lu at No. 6, 6-4, 6-1. The match was clinched on the No. 2 court as Sasha Krasnov knocked off LaBrunie, 6-4, 6-0 for the win. 
 
The 'Bows will return to Honolulu before heading back to the mainland for their final regular season match against UC Riverside on Thursday, April 19 at 12:00 pm HT. Following the last dual match against the Highlanders, UH will head to the Big West tournament held in Indian Wells, Calif.
