HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (4-2, 1-1 Big West) swept San Diego State, 4-0 under threatening skies and humid conditions on Sunday afternoon at the UH Tennis Complex.
 
Hawai'i won the doubles point, winning on Court 1 and Court 2. No. 2 Petra Melounova and Roxanne Resma defeated San Diego State's Jana Buth and Paola Diaz, 6-2, while UH's No. 1 Klara Pribylova and Nikola Dolakoa earned the point with a 6-2 win over Jenny Moinard and Mia Smith.
 
In singles, Pribylova bounced back with a straight-set, 6-0, 6-3 win over SDSU's Moinard at No. 4. Melounova then held off Buth on the No. 1 court, 6-2, 6-4. No. 3 Marina Hruba then clinched the match against Dias, 6-1, 7-5. For Hruba, it marked her first singles win of the season for the senior.
 
Hawai'i has won four of its last five dual matches to improve to 4-2 this season. They are in a seven-match homestand. Next up for the 'Bows is Wichita State on Wednesday, March 7 at 3:30 pm at the UH Tennis Complex.
