HONOLULU—University of Hawai'i women's tennis team head coach
Jun Hernandez announced the signing of Madison Kim who will be the newest Rainbow Wahine in the fall of 2019.
Kim is a 5-7, right-handed tennis player out of Laurel Springs High School in Ojai, Calif. The Woodside, Calif.-native is ranked in the Top 400 in the International Tennis Federation rankings in singles and has won five doubles titles in the ITF in her young career.
"We are looking forward to having Madison in our program next year," says Hernandez. "She is a great fit for our tennis family. She is a very good student and she has a strong background in international competition that will definitely serve her well competing in Division I tennis. She has been successful in both singles and in doubles competitions and can make a strong impact for us in both. Madison is very nice person to be around and she will be a great asset to our program for many years."
