Promotions: Jack in the Box is the sponsor of Saturday's contest and will distribute Free Jumbo Jack Certificates to the first 7,000 fans at Gate A and award Free Jack in the Box for a Year during the promotional contest at halftime. Toys for Tots will be collecting new and/or unwrapped toys at Gate A for less fortunate children in the community. 

Game Notes
  • UH plays the first of seven straight home games when it hosts UH Hilo.
  • It will be UH's first home game since an 85-68 win over Northern Arizona on Nov. 18. UH has played its last four games on the road, including a 4th-place finish in the Wooden Legacy.
  • UH went 1-3 during its road trip, concluding with a 80-61 loss at UCLA, its largest margin of defeat so far this season.
  • The teams will meet in the regular-season for the seventh time in the last eight seasons, with UH winning the previous six contests by a margin of 25.0 points. 
  • This will be the second Division II squad that UH will face this year after defeating Humboldt State, 90-54, on Nov. 10, in the Outrigger Resorts Rainbow Classic. 
  • UH's first eight games have all been decided by double-digits.  
  • Following the UH Hilo game, UH will host Mississippi Valley State on Sunday, Dec. 16,  followed by the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, Dec. 22, 23 and 25.  
 
About UH Hilo
The Vulcans are coming off a 72-57 home win over Fresno Pacific..UHH was on O'ahu last weekend with losses at HPU (60-74) and Chaminade (101-114)...the Vulcans were picked ninth in the PacWest preseason poll...senior guard James Griffin leads the team at 17.3 ppg.
