HONOLULU—University of Hawaii'i head volleyball coach Robyn Ah Mow-Santos announced the signing of junior transfer Jolie Rasmussen. Rasmussen, a 6-2 outside hitter, played her first two seasons at Oregon before receiving a medical redshirt last year. She will have two years to play two seasons at Hawai'i.

Rasmussen earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention honors as both a freshman and a sophomore for the Ducks. She also earned 2017 Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention honors last season. In her two year career at Oregon, the six-rotation player recorded 383 kills and averaged 2.52 kills per set with a .210 hitting percentage. She also tallied 57.0 total blocks (seven solo blocks/50 block assists), 215 digs (1.41 per/set), with 34 service aces.

The Canyon Crest Academy alum came out of high school ranked No. 20 in PrepVolleyball.com's Senior Aces list in 2015 and was selected as an Under Armor second team All-American. Rasmussen was voted to the All-San Diego Section First Team all four seasons while she helped the Ravens advance to the CIF Division II semifinals as a senior in 2015 after making the quarterfinals as a junior in 2014. She set the CCA single-season kill record as a sophomore with 461.

Jolie is a seasoned, six-rotation outside hitter that will raise the level of intensity, experience and maturity the moment we open spring training. She comes to us from a great program, Oregon, and she will battle on the outside right away. As a staff we could not be more thrilled to see her wearing a Hawai'i jersey for the next two seasons."

Rasmussen brings the total number of newcomers for the 2019 season to five.
