Sahara Washington opened with an even par 73 on the first day of the Nanea Pac-12 Preview, Monday at the Nanea Golf Club.
Washington started the day with two straight birdies, then posted two bogeys the rest of her round to sit in a tie for 16
thplace, six strokes off the lead held by California's Cindy Oh, who carded a 67.
As a team, the Rainbow Wahine are in 12
thplace at 316. UH is the only non-Pac 12 member in the field and are serving as the unofficial host of the tournament. Top-ranked USC, No. 48 Oregon and No. 49 Cal are atop the leaderboard at 3-under 289.
