FAIRFAX, Calif – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team shot a final round even par 284 to conclude the Alister MacKenzie Invitational with an 864 total and 14^thplace Tuesday at the Meadow Club.
 
The Rainbow Warriors were paced by sophomore Justin Ngan, who shot a career-low 4-under 67. The Wailuku, Maui native carded seven birdies and finished in a tie for 72^ndplace at 224.
 
Pepperdine overtook host California to capture the team title with a final round 22-under 262 to win by 11 strokes. The Waves set a tournament record with an 800 total while the Waves' RJ Manke took medalist honors at 21-under 192, a new tourney mark.
 
UH's top finisher was sophomore Justin Arcano, who finished in a tie for 35^that even-par 213 following a 1-over 72 on Tuesday. Senior Cameron Kaneko shot a final round even par 71 and tied for 52^ndat 4-over 217. Junior Nick Nelson tied for 66^that 221 while sophomore Cole Yoshida tied for 78^that 232.
 
Hawai'i will next compete in the Bill Cullum Invitational, Oct. 15-16 in Simi Valley, Calif.
