FAIRFAX, Calif – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team shot a final round even par 284 to conclude the Alister MacKenzie Invitational with an 864 total and 14
thplace Tuesday at the Meadow Club.
The Rainbow Warriors were paced by sophomore
Justin Ngan, who shot a career-low 4-under 67. The Wailuku, Maui native carded seven birdies and finished in a tie for 72
ndplace at 224.
Pepperdine overtook host California to capture the team title with a final round 22-under 262 to win by 11 strokes. The Waves set a tournament record with an 800 total while the Waves' RJ Manke took medalist honors at 21-under 192, a new tourney mark.
UH's top finisher was sophomore
Justin Arcano, who finished in a tie for 35
that even-par 213 following a 1-over 72 on Tuesday. Senior
Cameron Kaneko shot a final round even par 71 and tied for 52
ndat 4-over 217. Junior
Nick Nelson tied for 66
that 221 while sophomore
Cole Yoshida tied for 78
that 232.
Hawai'i will next compete in the Bill Cullum Invitational, Oct. 15-16 in Simi Valley, Calif.
