HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (0-2) squared off against No. 21 Florida State for the second straight day. The Seminoles swept the Rainbow Warriors, but the 'Bows battled hard on Saturday at the UH Tennis Complex.
 
The match started with doubles play as Florida State cruised to take all three official matches for the early, 1-0 lead.
 
In singles, UH's No. 1 Blaz Seric battled back to even his match at 1-1 and had a chance to defeat FSU's Aziz Dougaz as he served for the match in the third set at 5-4, but was broken and eventually fell by a tie-breaker, 3-6, 6-0, 7-6 (3). Hawai'i's Aleksa Lazarevic's match against Chase Wood on the #4 court went to three sets, but Wood pulled away for the win, 6-2, 1-6, 6-2.
 
The Rainbow Warriors continue their busy first week of play as they take on Texas Tech on Sunday, January 7 at 12:00 pm at the UH Tennis Complex.
