SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team sits in 15th place at the 71st Western Intercollegiate when play was halted in the second round due to darkness at the Pasatiempo Golf Club.
The Rainbow Warriors fired a first round 389 and is 11-over in their second round, which will resume Sunday morning prior to the third and final round.
Top-ranked USC holds an eight-stroke lead over No. 7 Stanford. The Trojans shot a first round 347 in the play-six, score-five format. Individually, USC's Justin Suh is 5-under with a one-stroke lead over Stanford's
Isaiah Salinda.
Smart Kittirattanapaiboon carded a first-round 75 and is 4-over through 13 holes of his second round. Sophomore
Cameron Kaneko is 2-under in his second round and 6-over for the tourney and tied for 46
th.

Sam Schwartz fired a first round 77 and is tied for 68
th along with freshman
Taiga Iwasa, who carded 78. Iwasa is 2-over in his second round while Schwartz is 3-over through 13 holes. Senior
Pono Tokioka shot a first round 81 and is 4-over in his second round.
Freshman
Desmond Mello was disqualified in the first round after signing a wrong scorecard. However, he has rebounded in his second round and is 4-over through 12 holes.
