Women’s Golf To Meet NC State In Dual Match

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team will host 23rd-ranked North Carolina State in a dual match, Saturday, March 11 at the Kapolei Golf Course.

The match is a tune-up for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, which both teams will compete March 14-15 at the Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course. The Rainbow Wahine will host the tournament for the 32nd year.

Saturday's head-to-head, stroke play match is one round with a play-five, count-four format. It'll mark UH's first competition since last month's Battle at the Rock in Riverside, Calif., which the Rainbow Wahine took second place.

Competing for the Rainbow Wahine are Izzy Leung, Daezsa Tomas, Kelli-Anne Katsuda, Raquel Ek, and Kaci Masuda.

This season, UH has three top four finishes in five events. Hawai'i will host its next two tournaments – the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational next week and the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in Kapalua, Maui, March 27-29.
