Women’s Golf Falls To NC State In Dual Match

KAPOLEI, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team dropped a dual match to 24th-ranked North Carolina State Saturday in gorgeous day at Kapolei Golf Club.
 
The Wolfpack bested the Rainbow Wahine 282-to-299 behind medalist India Clyburn's 5-under 67. NC State's Sarah Bae was also in red numbers at 2-under 70.
 
Sophomore Kaci Masuda led a balanced UH contingent at 1-over 73. Her round included five birdies, including four on the front nine. Seniors Izzy Leung and Raquel Ek each shot 3-over 75 while fellow seniors Kelli-Anne Katsuda and Daezsa Tomas each carded 4-over 76.
 
The dual was a tune-up for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, which the Rainbow Wahine will host March 14-15 at the Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course in Kane'ohe, O'ahu.
