STOCKTON, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team struggled in its first team roadtrip of the season, falling at Pacific, 6-0 on Saturday at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center. Pacific improved to 3-2 overall while Hawai'i fell to 0-4 on the season.
The Rainbow Warriors and Tigers started and played only their singles matches. UH's No. 1
Felix Albert battled in the closest match of the day against Pacific's Tadiwa Chinamo. Albert captured the first set, , but fell in the next two—including losing by just a break in the third and deciding set, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. Hawai'i's
Igor Kolaric fell by a break in both sets to Miguel Dias on the No. 2 court, 7-5, 6-4, while UH's No. 3
Marcel Chan fought hard, but the Tigers' Akram El Sallaly held of Chan, 6-3, 6-3.
Hawai'i will remain in Stockton to take on Portland State on Sunday, February 5 at 11:00 am HT.
