HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team plays the second of seven straight non-conference home contests when it hosts sister school UH Hilo on Saturday, Dec. 9. Tipoff is 7:00 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The teams will meet in the regular-season for the sixth time in the last seven seasons, with UH winning the previous five contests by a margin of 26.4 points. This will be the second Division II squad that UH will face this year after defeating Adams State, 87-77, on Nov. 27. The game will count towards the Rainbow Warriors record, but will serve as an exhibition for the Vulcans.
The 'Bows opened their December homestand with an 72-60 win over Prairie View A&M on Wednesday as UH point guards
Drew Buggs (17 points) and
Brocke Stepteau (16) led the way with 33 of the team's total points.
Following its game against UH Hilo, UH will not play again until it hosts Utah Valley of the Western Athletic Conference on Sunday, Dec. 17.
