PRINCEVILLE, Kaua'i – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team concluded the 6
th Annual Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational, Tuesday at The Makai Club with the "Black" team finishing in 18
th place and the "Green" team placing 19
th.
 
Louisville went wire-to-wire to capture the team title with a tournament-record 808 while UL's Simon Zach carded a final round 66 for medalist honors at 21-under 195, also a tourney-best.
 
Two members of UH's "Green" team shot under par – freshman 
Justin Arcano (2-under 70) and sophomore 
Nick Nelson (1-under 71). Nelson tied for 76
th at 3-over 219 while Arcano was two strokes back at 221, good for 81
st place.
 
Also competing for the Green squad were freshman 
Justin Ngan, who posted his best round of the tourney with a 2-over 74 for a 230 total and 101
st place and Kaua'i native 
Bryden Salvador, who shot 79 and placed 106
th at 235.
 
For the Black team, junior 
Cameron Kaneko shot even par 72 for a 219 total and tie for 76th along with sophomore 
Taiga Iwasa, who posted his third straight 73. Senior 
Smart Kittirattanapaiboon carded 74 for 97
th place at 226. Freshman 
Cole Yoshida and sophomore 
Trevor Hirata each shot 82. Yoshida placed 105
th at 234 while Hirata was 107
th at 239.
 
Sophomore Shane Smart competed as an individual and shot 90.
 
The Rainbow Warriors will next host the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational, Friday through Sunday at the Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course in west Maui.
 
Competing in 20-team tournament are seven Top 50 programs, including sixth-ranked LSU. Also competing are Air Force, Ball State, Boise State, Bowling Green, No. 18 California, Connecticut, Georgia, Gonzaga, Houston, Indiana, No. 43 Kansas, No. 16 Kent State, Loyola Marymount, No. 50 Pepperdine, Sacramento State, No. 41 South Carolina, West Virginia, and No. 42 Wyoming.
