KOHALA, Hawai'i – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team placed 11
th in the shortened Pac-12 Preview at the Nanea Golf Club. Tuesday's third and final round was cancelled due to rain and lightning.
UH (614) was tied for sixth after a 303 in Monday's first round before dropping five spots with a second round 311. UCLA ran away with the title at 20-under 564 while Stanford's Andrea Lee took medalist honors at 9-under 137.
Freshman
Sahara Washington led the Rainbow Wahine with a tie for 20
th at 3-over 149 with rounds of 75 and 74. One stroke back was freshman
Tyra Tonkham who coupled a first round even-par 73 with a 77 for a 4-over 150 total and tie for 26
th.
Sophomore
Megan Ratcliffe tied for 47
th at 156 (77-79); freshman
Emma Lower tied for 54
th at 162 (78-84); and junior
Kaci Masuda was 56
th at 164 (83-81).
The Rainbow Wahine closes out the fall season by hosting the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at the Leilehua Golf Course on O'ahu.
