LAHAINA, Maui—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team concluded play in on the final day of the UH Spring Invitational on Saturday at the Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch in Lahaina, Maui.
 
In doubles, Hawai'i's Cindy Nguyen and Klara Pribylova secured the Rainbow Wahine's lone win on the day, by almost blanking Washington State's Aneta Miksovska and Lejla Colic, 6-1. UH's Petra Melounova and Roxanne Resma battled hard, but fell by a break to Kansas' Nina Khmelnitckaia and Tess Bernard-Feigenbaum, 7-5.
 
UH's Melounova, who is ranked No. 119 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, defeated Washington State's Guzal Yusupova in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0. Nguyen fell by a break in both sets to Kansas' No. 65 Anastasia Rychagova, 6-4, 6-4. For the second straight day, Hawai'i's Pribylova fought hard, but fell in three sets. She dropped the first set, but won the second in a tiebreaker before falling by a break in the third set, 6-2, 6-7 (3), 6-4.
 
The Rainbow Wahine will return home to take on Washington on Jan. 12 and Kansas State on Jan. 14 at the UH Tennis Complex.
