Round 2 Results
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team concluded the second round of the Maui Jim Intercollegiate Saturday at Mirabel Golf Club. The Rainbow Warriors dropped to 16
th place with a two-round total of 599 heading into Sunday's final round.
LSU moved atop the team leaderboard at 541 following a second round 271. Kent State is two strokes back (543), followed by Baylor (545), and South Carolina (549).
UH sophomore
Sam Schwartz posted a second straight 74 to lead the Rainbow Warriors, who fired 309. Schwartz is tied for 70
th at 6-over 148. Freshman
Desmond Mello is one stroke back at 149 after a second round 78 while junior
Smart Kittirattanapaiboon is tied for 78
th at 151 along with senior
Pono Tokioka, who struggled with a second round 80. Sophomore
Bryden Salvador is tied for 93
rd at 163.
LSU's Luis Gagne posted a second straight 65 and leads the tourney at 12-under 130, two strokes clear of South Carolna's Scott Stevens (132).
The tournament concludes on Sunday.
