Final Results
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team finished in 14
th place following the final round of the 2016 Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic, Tuesday at the Ptarmigan Country Club.
The Rainbow Wahine shot a final round 313 for a 935 total (308-314-313). San Jose State went wire-to-wire to capture the team title at 7-over 871 while SJSU's My Leander took medalists honors at 6-under 210, edging out Gonzaga's Ciera Min by one stroke.
Rounding out the field were UC Irvine (885), Gonzaga (889), Oregon State (891), San Francisco and Nevada (892), Indiana (899), Northern Colorado (912), Portland State (913), Nebraska and Wyoming (914), Colorado State (921), Long Beach State (925), UH (935), and Boise State (937).
UH's top finisher was senior
Raquel Ek, who shot a final round 1-over 73, for a 226 total and tie for 24
th place. Fellow senior
Izzy Leung tied for 42
nd at 231 following an 82 on Tuesday.
Sophomore
Kaci Masuda posted her best round of the tournament with a 77 to finish at 236 and tie for 67
th. Senior
Daezsa Tomas fired 81 for a 242 total and tie for 80
th finish. junior
Lauren Kirkwood rounded out the UH contingent with a 252 total and 86
th place.
The Rainbow Wahine will next compete in the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate, Oct. 1-2, in Palm Desert, Calif.
