Izzy Leung is five strokes off the lead in fifth overall.
The Rainbow Wahine posted the best team score of the day (307) to move past six-time defending tourney champion UC Davis (316, 624) with a 623 total. Cal Poly leads the tournament at 615 after a second round 310 followed by UC Riverside (618) and Long Beach State (622). Rounding out the field is CSUN (634), Cal State Fullerton (644) and UC Irvine (664).
Individually, LBSU's Kassidy Teare shot a final round 73 and takes a two-stroke lead into Tuesday's final round. Teare is 3-over 147 for the tournament ahead of UCD's Paige Lee (149). UC Riverside's Paris Griffith is third (150).
Leung struggled with six bogeys through her first 13 holes before posting her only birdie of the day at the par-5 No. 15. The Shatin, Hong Kong native parred her final three holes to finish at 5-over 77 and her 8-over 152 total is five strokes off the individual lead by UC Davis' Paige Lee (77, 149).
Ek, who posted the low round of the day at even par 72, was 2-under through her first seven holes – including birdies at Nos. 6 and 7. A bogey on No. 8 and double bogey on No. 9 put her at 1-over on her front but she rebounded with a birdie on No. 10 and another at No. 14 and is tied for sixth place at 153.
Freshman
Kaci Masuda made the turn at 1-over after a birdie on No. 9 but doubled the 10
th and bogeyed the 12
th, 13
th, and 16
th holes in a 5-over back nine to finish 6-over 78 and is tied for 10
th at 155.
Junior
Daezsa Tomas shot 80 and is tied for 27
th place at 163. Junior
Kelli-Anne Katsuda carded an 83 and is tied for 32
nd at 167.
The championship concludes on Tuesday with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. HT.
