McKenna Granato burried a team-high 15 kills to lead the Rainbow Wahine volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Iowa State in the spring exhibition match on Friday night at Stan Sheriff Center. Although Hawai'i swept the match in three sets, 25-19, 25-11, 25-22, the Cyclones rallied to win the fourth goodwill set, 25-23, in front of a crowd of 1,623.

Nikki Taylor put down 11 kills, a pair service aces and two block assists, while freshman outside hitter
Casey Castillo recorded 10 kills and two block assists.
The Bows held Iowa State to just .186 hitting with junior middle hitter

It was a back-and-forth affair in the early goings of the first set, with teams trading points. But the Rainbow Wahine lead by as many as six points midway through the set thanks to the steady serving of Taylor.
The second set was all Hawaii as they hit .400 and recorded four of their eight blocks in the match to cruise, 25-11. The third set was much tighter and the teams were knotted 21-21, before the Bows scored four of the final five points in the set to seal the sweep.
The teams played a goodwill fourth set which was the closest of the match with 15 ties throughout the set. The Cyclones eventually squeaked out a 25-23 win as Samara West recorded five of her 10 kills in the set. For the match, Morgan Kuhrt led Iowa State with a match-high 13 kills.
